Date Calculator

Count the days, weeks and working days between any two dates.

How this calculator works

Useful for deadlines, notice periods, holiday planning and invoicing. Choose a start and end date to see the calendar gap, the number of weeks and the count of weekdays in between.

The Date Calculator counts the gap between any two dates — in calendar days, in weeks, and in working days. It is useful whenever you need to know how long something lasts or how long you have left: project deadlines, notice periods, holiday planning, contract lengths, or invoicing periods that span a range of dates.

The working-days count excludes weekends, which is helpful for scheduling tasks that can only happen on business days. It does not account for public holidays, since those vary by country and region, so for critical deadlines you should subtract any local holidays that fall within the range yourself.

Choose a start and end date and the tool shows the calendar gap, the number of whole weeks, and the weekday count in between. The order of the two dates does not matter — the calculator uses the absolute difference, so either date can come first.

Everything runs in your browser as you type — nothing is stored or sent to a server. Results are estimates for general guidance and should not replace advice from a qualified professional.

Frequently asked questions

Does the working-days count include public holidays?

No. Working days exclude weekends only. Public holidays vary by country and region, so subtract any that fall within your range manually.

Does the order of the start and end date matter?

No. The calculator uses the absolute difference between the two dates, so you can enter them in either order.

What is the difference between calendar days and working days?

Calendar days count every day in the range, including weekends. Working days count only weekdays (Monday to Friday), which is useful for scheduling business tasks.
